 i meant to talk about a couple of the knick knacks in the photo.  on the coffee table, you'll see a lighter and an ash tray.  (my dad smoked like a chimney, my mom did at times and said she didn't)  on the end table in the back ground, there is another ash tray and a reddish candy dish.  my grandmother made all of those.  she was really into ceramics and such.  the cool lighter was always a favorite of mine.  it never worked but i loved the sparks.  the black ashtray in the back ground was shaped like a flat triangle, and it had 1964 coins arrayed around the center.  i don't know if my brother or i saved this stuff.  i hope so, they have such great memories.

a closer look
