Our Lives - This week

I took my two teenagers to the Chocolate Bar the other night.  It was fun not fussing over them like children, as I have done for 16 years.  Hanna even offered to pay...but forgot her debit card.  LOL.
It was exceedingly warm this week.  I love it.  At the beginning of the week, Rex was enjoying the back yard, sunning in the grass.  If I took that same photo today, he'd be laying on a bed of fallen leaves.
I took this photo at Greensfelder today in wonderful weather. I make fun of myself for riding with a seat bag, especially off-road. With all of the great hydration packs, it is quite puzzling to me why I can't shake the seat bag.
We did a trunk-or-treat with Eli this afternoon.  He was a zombie Rams player.  Kinda like they were the last few years in real life.  I keed, I keed.
And this evening, Rex traded sunning in the yard for trying to stay warm under the bed.  Dogs just crack me up.

Gorgeous Day in October 2016

Sunday was full of adventure.  Tyson played his last game of fall Baseball.
Hanna and I played chauffeur to Eli and his friend Matt.
Hanna, Eli and I went for a hike at Greensfelder park and walked the Eagle Valley trail.
 It was a gorgeous day.
I tried to get a view from atop one of the big hills, but someone photo bombed me.

Homecoming 2016

She's 16 and she's beautiful.  It's Homecoming night and she's getting ready at her Grandma's house.
On our way to take more photos.  She's very good at selfies.
Even more beautiful in the outdoor light.
The backlighting gives her an angelic glow, doesn't it?
Her wonderful dress has pockets.  That shouldn't be such a surprise, but it is.
I caught a few photos of the dress twirl.  This is the best.
Showing off the muscles.  She is the beauty queen and the athlete.
Next to the crusty old man.  She's actually a shorty, but she has 4" heels on. Well, I'm not very tall, either.
Hanna and her brothers.  They love her to death, but the photo thing bored them so they played in the trees.
Hanna and Eli. She commented on how sticky he was.  Boys will be boys and girls will be girls.
Hanna and her man Matt.  And, the boys in the trees.
Another great setting for a great photo.  I really like the blonde in her hair.
Lots of poof to this dress.  And remember that it has pockets.

Car Watching - 1957 Chevrolet Pick Up Truck

I'm not really a truck guy, but even I cannot resist old pick-ups.  Especially when they are done up right.  This 1957 Chevy is just too freaking awesome.
For one thing, old pick-ups are small.  They are not the gargantuan things that lurk the highways today.  And the lines, the body creases, the angles...it's like they cared back then.  Today's trucks are only differentiated by the how mean the grill looks.
The cab appears to angle forward, which is my second favorite thing about this truck.  The first is the orange color.  It was like revenge of the pumpkin spice, only better.  Check out the way the sun plays with this paint, too.
Look at those pipes sticking out from underneath the bumper.  I wish I could have heard this thing run!
Another super sweet touch:  the wooden bed slats.  Wow.  The interior was beautiful as well, but taking a photo through the window didn't work out.

Bravo, Mr. Old Truck Owner.  Made my automotive day.
