mount pleasant winery cyclocross

photos courtesy of mike dawson
proof that i actually raced my mountain bike at a 'cross race. this photo shows the elevation changes in the course.
i look like i'm tip toeing over the barriers, but i'm thinking this is where i started to realize how heavy my bike was over the barriers. i even had a full water bottle!

Suspension fork? Granted it's been a long time since I've done any cross racing but I still don't see why ya gotta have a cross bike.

What cranks/bb are those? How bout some thoughts on the frame?

on most other courses, the mtb is just too heavy to keep up with the big gear mashers, not to mention pretty heavy for run-ups or multiple dismounts. those are the good ol' xt 737 cranks. the frame is fine, a pure bargain at $179.
