Just as I was finishing up my ride today at Castlewood, into the lot pulled this captivating automobile. It's an Aston Martin DB11. It's wide and low, and made pleasing sounds as it pulled in.
It's a $200,000 car, so don't expect the sounds from it's twin-turbo V8 to be similar to a Corvette or a Mustang. No, it was much higher pitched, race-car like.
It's nice that it was parked next to an everyday car, so you can see just how low it is. And how large the wheels and tires are. I didn't get a good shot of the enormous bright yellow brake calipers, but I assure you, they are there. There are also some nominal rear seats in this thing...more likely for luggage than people.
The view from the front is unmistakably Aston. Even if you didn't see the little wings on the hood. There is a V12 version of this car, called the AMR. About 100 more horsepower, and about 40 grand more. Ah well. I would settle for this "cheap" one. It's absolutely stunning.
