this is not the bmx racing that i did as a youngster......watching a little bit of the coverage of bmx racing at the olympics is like watching an odd new sport. sure, there are similarities to the sport that i participated in from 1979 to 1991...but that's all i can say. the frequency and size of the jumps...unbelievable.
jumps were a component of my sport, but they didn't dominate it. seriously, these guys are daredevils! i have the utmost respect and even awe for the riders.
times, they are a'changin'!
